Kyle's yard!

So for the past week or so, Kyle has been working his butt off! We wanted to put grass on the side of the house so that the dog can have a place to play and to add a little more excitement than just rocks! Today Kyle finally got the sod down and almost finished! He just needs to add the cobblestone border. He now has empathy for all of those landscapers that work all day long! And, now Kyle understands why they're always sleeping in their trucks while driving to their next job! haha Anyways, lets just hope that the dog doesn't eat the grass. She was licking the soil when Kyle layed it down, and she kept trying to pull up the patches of sod! Dumb dog! haha

The new, new ward chorister..

So about a month ago, Kyle got called, of all callings, to be the ward chorister! Can you believe it? The ward always had a bunch of substitute choristers because the main one was gone a lot, so the called Kyle to be the full time chorister in hopes that he will "bring some excitement to the ward," as the counselor in the bishopric said. So anyways, the first couple weeks were a disaster! Now he's kind of got the hang of it and doesn't mind looking like a fool anymore. Today, before sacrament, Kyle ran outside to try and get some conference tickets from the guy that was in charge of them for the stake. Well the sacrament meeting started and Kyle was still outside. So Kristi, being the amazing wife that she is, stepped up and started leading the music! She did a great job and looked like a natural. So Kyle thinks that Kristi should be the new ward chorister since she's a lot prettier than he is! It was a good sacrifice for some conference tickets though!

Our new dog

A couple of weeks ago, we got a dog from the pound. She's a shepherd possibly mixed with a blue heeler. She was 3 months old when we got her. Kristi named her Zoey....or Zoie as she spells it. She's a really cute dog, but can be a pain in the neck sometimes. She loves to be around us no matter where we are. She sleeps on her back with her legs in there air! (Kristi does that too!) She is pretty hyper, or so we thought. Whenever she's around Lori's dog, Mandy, she's is always running around and jumping all over Mandy. So we figured that she would do good with Justin and Kristi's dog Daisy when we went down to Arizona for Brody's blessing and Andrew's birthday party. What a wuss! Zoie kept getting trampled and ran over left and right! She finally started yelping and crying for us to get our out of there! The worst part is, Justin and Kristi have a new puppy, smaller than Zoie, and that dog would trample Zoie too! So our dog is a wimp basically. Pretty lame! So WE guess having a dog instead of a gun isn't a very good idea since Zoie isn't very protective! haha We guess We'll have to get a gun for protection now! Our lives have been filled with carpet cleaner and rags ever since we got Zoie, but she's a good dog...sometimes! If nothing else, she's a good form of birth control for now!

Not just one, but two!

So here is a funny story. Clarissa Judy has been asking us for months to start a blog. So it was fresh in our minds when we returned from Arizona. Tonight, Kristi was at home and Kyle was at work, Kristi decided to make a blog : DaWongs. She was excited to tell Kyle. When she did, she came to find out that Kyle made one the previous day. So take your pick! LOL! THANK YOU CLARISSA! You got your choice of two blogs! Oh man. How hilarious.

Giving into the pressure

Ok. So here it is... We are finally starting a blog.

Kyle and Kristi met January 15th 2007 at F.H.E. which was speed dating. Kyle proposed January 23rd 2008. A short time later, were married on June 14th, 2008 in The San Diego, California Temple.

We bought a beautiful home in Las Vegas, Nevada in July. Our home is two stories and has three bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, and we were lucky enough to get a home with a large backyard. Our home was a model home for KB Homes. It came with all major kitchen appliances, which are energy efficient. But according to Kyle the biggest selling point is the awesome barbecue in the backyard.

It is now nearly eight months into our marriage and things are going great. We recently got a puppy. Her name is Zoie. She is a Shepherd mix and is about 4 months old. Although potty training and getting her to obey is trying, we cant help but laugh as she runs laps around the house and goes crazy over ice cubes.
